Emergency Paediatric First Aid training in Newcastle

Course overview

Dealing with an emergency involving a baby or child can feel daunting. Our one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course in Newcastle is designed to give you the practical skills and the confidence to respond calmly and effectively when it matters most. Delivered at Pottery Bank Community Centre by experienced trainers, the day blends clear teaching with plenty of hands-on practice using infant and child manikins, so you leave knowing you could act in a real emergency.

The course is accredited by FAIB and runs over a single day, with a certificate valid for 3 years. It is ideal for nannies, babysitters, after-school and activity staff, childminding assistants, foster carers, grandparents and parents — anyone who looks after children and wants to be ready. No previous first aid experience is needed.

This one-day course suits people caring for children in lower-ratio or non-EYFS settings. If you work in an Ofsted-registered early years setting and need to be counted in EYFS staff ratios, you will need the full two-day Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course instead. If you are not sure which applies to you, call us on 0191 820 6199 and we will point you the right way.

What the course covers
